The Racton Folly Trailer

This is a short trailer of my recent visit to a very spooky folly. Thought to be a summer house or observation platform, the Racton Folly stands alone deserted on the top of a hill over looking Chichester in West Sussex. People say that it is haunted, and you do get an eerie feeling as you stand inside. The builder died before his work was complete and now it stands in rack and ruin, but do you think it should be turned into a private dwelling?

What viewers have said!

Hey Vobes! I purchased and downloaded the Racton Folly Video this wet Saturday afternoon (don't think that I'm going to buy everything that you make just because I've bought the first two ......... well, maybe I will!) Great video, well produced (I do like the music/sound effects) and an interesting subject too. I have visions of you walking around with a camera on a stick, maybe you could do a "behind the scenes" one day to to show how much work goes into the filming (although with only one camera, that could be a bit difficult .......). The automatic PayPal system worked well again, with the download link arriving almost as soon as I hit the Pay button - slick! In this Internet age of instant gratification, it is important that people get the goods without delay - well done. All the best Gary Wann

Richard, Brilliant video! I was very impressed! I'm glad there was the credit for Paul Stoneman at the end because I was trying to figure out how you did all of the camera moves by yourself (as I believe you did in the Hellingly video). Thanks! Bruce Fox

Richard, I just watched your Racton Tower video and I have to say this is better than television. You have a different presentable style that is just so entertaining and kept me glued to the screen. You seem to capture the journey, taking us with you, like a first time exploration for each of us with trepidation, danger and excitement all rolled up into one. The production quality is excellent with what limited resources you have. Television should be quaking in their boots. As an architect, I enjoyed the texture quality of the buildings shown as well as the drawing illustration and the overall story-telling. As well as the subtle humour at the fence. I cant give too much away. I always feel you should do what you do best and I look forward to seeing more in the future and I am sure as time goes on we will all have some great treats to look forward too. Many thanks Stephen Smart

Richard, Just watched the Racton Folly video, and I must say that you are really doing some fine work. I loved the special effects to make it seem sinister and scary. And I know I've mentioned it before, but I'm so impressed with your ability to speak extemporaneously. Well done! Four dollars and thirteen cents well spent, Utah Mike
